STRATEGIC PLAN
In accordance with the main tasks and functions, TIU of Library has a strategic plan orienting to the results achieved in the future. The strategic plan contains Vision, Mission, Objectives, Programs and Activities based on benchmarks performance. TIU of Library improves the efficiency and effectivity of service, management, preservation as a source of information to improve the quality of education.
VISION
Provide excellent service in order to improve the quality of education in the teaching and learning process, and make TIU of Library as a center for human resource development (HR) and increase the reading interest in State Agricultural Polytechnic of kupang
MISION
- Improve the library management of State Agricultural Polytechnic Kupang
- Become the part of finding information for Academic Community of State Agricultural Polytechnic Kupang
- Maintain and preserve the work of entire Academic Community of State Agricultural Polytechnic Kupang and the general public
- Become supporting part of the implementation Tri Dharma of Higher Education
LIBRARY FUNCTION :
- Center for the Preservation of Science
Follow the development of curriculum and lectures and provide materials for teaching - Center of Learning
Provide books/journals for tasks completion during study - Center of Teaching
Follow the development of research programs run in Higher Education and provide scientific literature and other materials for researcher - Center of Research
Upgrade the collection by following new publications for both printed and non-print - Center for Information Dissemination
Provide facilities, which allow the access to other libraries and databases through local networks / internet in order to meet the needs of necessary information .
LIBRARY SERVICES
- Circulation Services
Circulation Services involves ctivities related to the use of library collections appropriately and on time for the benefit of users. The main task of circulation services including lending, return, billing, sanctions, library clearance and visitor statistics. TIU of Library apply an opened access system which allowing the user to search and retrieve the desired collection.
- Reference Service
Reference service at TIU of Library use a closed access system. Users seeking for particular literature is served directly by librarian to find and to take a collection of references.
- Library User Guide
- LIbrary user guide service provides guidance to users as a discipline and responsible user.
- Information retrieval Service
- Information retrieval service provided by TIU of Library facilitate the user in tracing the information, both in the manuals form such as catalogue cards and by using the computer technology so that it becomes a search system known as OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
- Internet/WIFI Service
TIU of Library provide the access of internet/wifi as part of the services.
REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A LIBRARY MEMBER
- Black and White Photo/Color Size : 3x4 : 1 sheet
- Black and White Photo/Color Size : 2x3 : 2 sheets
3. Fines/Sanctions:
- Lecturers: Rp. 1.000,-/book/daily
- Administrative Staff : Rp. 1.000,-/book/daily
- Students: Rp. 500,-/book/daily
4. Validity Period of Member Card: 1 Year

RULES AND REGULATION
1. Library opening hours
Monday - Thursday : 7.30 to 16.00 (8.0 hours)
Friday : 7.30 to 16.30 (8.5 hours)
2. It is not allowed to wear hats, bags, jackets in the library rooms. These items are placed on the storage rack shelves.
3. Membership and utilization of the library services is shown by the Library Member Card.
4. Library member card is valid for only one year and it is not allowed to use the library member card of other users.
5. Visitors must register in the visiting computer or visiting books.
6. Visitors must fill in the information of reading books.
7. Library materials are lent for a maximum of 2 (two) copies and can be extended only once. Arranged as follows:
Lecturers : 2 (two) weeks
Adminstrative staff : 2 (two) weeks
Students : 1 (one) week
8. Reference and special collections cannot be lent. They can only be read in the library.
9. Fine/sanctions are applied if:
A. exceeding the lent period
B. Losing the library books/journal/other materials
C. The library material/books/journal are damage or broken during returning
D. Bring library materials outside the procedure
10. Violations of points 9 letters A, B, C, D are subject to administrative sanctions and fines. Special Point 9 letter B replaces with the same book title or replaces with a different book title with the same subject as many as 2 (two) titles of the latest edition.
11. Adminstrative sanction is given to the library member if :
A. Ignoring or violating library rules and regulations
B. Do not obey the warnings and library bill 3 (three) times
12. Violations of points 11 letters A and B ai above are subject to administrative sanctions as follows:
A. Prohibition of borrowing library materials and utilizing library services.
B. Withdrawing the Valid Library Member so that it will be no longer to become the member of Library of Politani Kupang
C. Fines and replacement of library materials
